Hey.... How is everyone? Good I hope! We have been busy with therapy everyday! St. Pat's was great, we had a lot of family and friends over. A good time was had by all. I made the traditional fare, corned beef and cabbage, along with Shepherd's pie. This year I also made car bomb cupcakes... I found the recipe on pinterest! Man o man.... were they good. This was also the first time I've made cake from scratch... All I can say is that by now I should know that the media has lied and that cooking is a simpler thing then they have led us to believe. I even managed to make a butter cream frosting. Super easy! Now I need to get the cake mixes out of the cupboard. I think that there are like 15 up there... LOL! I bought a ton when Picky decided that she wanted to be a pastry chef.
We are almost done with bowling... The bowling is done, but the fundraisers are still going strong. I will say that I will put my foot down against selling candy bars next year. What a mess. Of course I'm in charge. But anyways... we just had a meal, bake sale & raffle fundraiser. We had a decent turnout. Now we have a Scentsy fundraiser going on. The hostess gifts are going to be used as raffle items for next years stuff! It never ends... LOL!
I did manage to finish another lap-ghan. It is burgundy and white. I'm selling it for $25 plus shipping. I will be posting pictures over at the other blog... Grim Wytche Crafts, it's time to get that going. Things have happened recently that have made us to make some choices. We won't be moving after all. So that means I have way to much stuff for this house and it needs to find a new home! LOL! And since I don't plan on giving up my hobby of yarn-ing, I guess I will have plenty to offer! :o)
Easter is almost on us! I can't believe that this years has just flown by and I'm not sure what I've done. But I've been talking to people and I'm not the only one. We are going to do some work at my moms on Friday and Saturday. Then Sunday is dinner here. For the rest of the break we are going to start gutting the basement. We need to get the wall shored up. Yep, a company (which is yet to be determined) will be doing that job! We know how to do a lot but that is out of our realm. Once that's all done... The plumber will come in and fix the laundry tub... The pipe is broken down at the floor level. Again another one of those jobs. Once those jobs are done then we will be able to turn the basement into a livable space for when Teenage monster comes home from college on breaks. Her sister and room mate already has big plans for the room once her sister moves out! These include paint and a new layout.... and lots of work from me!
